Finish an entrepreneurship pitch with someone who has raised before

Student pitches fail for ordinary reasons: a problem nobody feels, a market slide with no customers, a team story that is really a résumé. A working founder catches that early.

Entrepreneurship competitions reward clarity under pressure. Judges ask who hurts, why now, and why you. A recorded course can teach vocabulary. It cannot sit with you while you cut a deck from twenty slides to nine and still keep the story.

Actify’s entrepreneurship Activity Mentoring exists for that gap. You are paired with a founder or operator who has shipped, pitched, or raised. The goal is a submittable pitch, not a certificate for watching videos.

Start with a pain, not a product name

Students love naming the company before they can name the customer. Mentors usually reverse that. Who is stuck today, and what do they try instead of your idea? If you cannot answer without marketing language, the pitch is not ready for a judge.

Traction can be small and still honest

High-school and early-college founders rarely have revenue. That is fine. What is not fine is inventing metrics. A waitlist with real emails, five interviews with quotes, a prototype people used without you in the room—those are traction. “Projected users” are not.

The deck is a conversation, not a brochure

We iterate live. A mentor marks where a judge will interrupt, where a claim needs a source, where two slides say the same thing. You leave with a narrative you can defend out loud, which is what competitions actually test.

How this sits next to internships

If you want a host company and a manager on a live project, choose an Actify online internship. If you want a competition file and a specialist, choose this challenge. Mixing both in the same four weeks usually means neither gets Friday.

If you are applying

Tell us the competition you are aiming for, your timeline, and how much English you can work in. We match you to a mentor who can actually help that pitch—not a general “startup coach” who only speaks in frameworks.

If a track here matches what you are trying to do, start an application. We reply with fit and timing.
